localfarmsfirst- the market is open!

Greetings local food lovers!
The market is open!
New this week: Cone Head Cabbage from Adam at Round Earth Farm
Featured this week- Black Cherry Tomatoes from Pat and John at Rivendell Farm/ Peace and Plenty
The fall breeze is in the air here in the North Fork Valley. Even though it’s not cold yet, it’s feeling like time to start stocking up for winter. I won’t rant again about my love for pickles, but I am seeing a lot of my other favorite foods to put up listed on the market this week. There are several varieties of cabbage available for saurkraut or kimchi, French filet beans to make dilly beans, beets to pickle with young onions and garlic, peaches to can or freeze. It’s never too early to start planning how to eat locally through the whole year. Enjoy the bounty now and keep enjoying it until next spring.
Thanks for supporting local agriculture here in the North Fork.
